Week of Prayer and Fasting

Thanks for choosing to join with us during our week of prayer and fasting at Ransomed Community Church. Starting Monday the 14th we will join together in prayer and fasting. Below is a guide for you as you pray this week as we celebrate the life and death of Jesus.
Monday: Beholding God – His Sovereignty, Holiness, and Grace

Scriptures: Psalm 103:19; Isaiah 6:3; Ephesians 2:8-9

Reflection:
Begin by fixing your eyes on God—His majesty, purity, and grace. He rules over all, remains untouched by sin, and lavishes mercy upon us. Our hearts are most aligned in prayer when they begin with worship.

Prayer Points:

Praise God for His sovereign rule over all creation—there is nothing outside His control.

Worship Him for His holiness—perfect in purity, unmatched in majesty.

Confess areas of pride, self-sufficiency, or control, where you’ve resisted trusting His rule.

Ask for cleansing and a renewed reverence for His holy presence.

Thank God for saving you by grace alone, not by works.

Pray for a softened heart to receive grace daily, not just once at salvation.

Ask for opportunities to extend grace to those around you, just as God has extended grace to you.

Reflect on His character, allowing awe and humility to shape your prayers.

Tuesday: Confronting Our Need – Sin, Salvation, and God's Covenant Love

Scriptures: Romans 3:23; Genesis 17:7

Reflection:
We were all dead in sin, but God, being rich in mercy, made a covenant with us—promising redemption and relationship. His faithfulness has never failed, even when ours has.

Prayer Points:

Acknowledge your sinfulness and the depth of your need for a Savior.

Thank God that His mercy triumphs over judgment and shame.

Pray for conviction—for yourself, your church, your community—that leads to repentance and joy.

Rejoice in God's covenant: He chooses, sustains, and never forsakes His people.

Ask for stronger trust in His promises, even in seasons of waiting or hardship.

Intercede for those who have not yet received His mercy—pray for hearts to be opened.

Ask for grace to remember that your identity is rooted in being part of His covenant family.

Declare aloud God’s faithfulness through the generations—He has not changed.

Scriptures: John 1:14; Hebrews 4:15; Matthew 5:1-12; Philippians 2:5-8

Prayer Points:

Worship Jesus for becoming fully human while remaining fully divine.

Thank Him for His sinless life lived in your place, securing your righteousness.

Pray for strength to follow His example of obedience, mercy, and integrity.

Ask for greater love and hunger for His teachings—words of life and peace.

Invite the Spirit to shape your heart through the Beatitudes (Matthew 5).

Thank Him for His humility—to serve, to suffer, to save.

Pray for a servant’s heart, especially in your family, work, and church.

Surrender pride and ask to walk in the mindset of Christ today.

Prayer Points:

Praise Jesus for His miraculous works—signs pointing to His authority and compassion.

Ask for faith to believe in His power, even when you can’t see immediate results.

Worship Him as the glorious Son of God, revealed at the Transfiguration.

Thank Him for bearing the full weight of your sin at the cross.

Confess specific sins, and receive afresh the forgiveness He purchased.

Rejoice in the resurrection—He is alive, and His victory is yours.

Pray for resurrection hope to flood areas of discouragement, depression, or doubt.

Invite Jesus to reign in every part of your life through the power of His resurrection.

Friday: The Mission of Christ – His Suffering, Victory, and Return

Scriptures: Luke 22:14-20; Isaiah 53:7; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 22:20
