Serve at RCC

Being a servant is a call for all followers of Jesus, and it is an essential part of being a committed member of the local church. God has graciously gifted us all differently in order to glorify himself and build his church. We want to help you find a way to use your gifts and serve the Lord here at RCC! Scroll through to see all of our service areas, and if you would like to serve with us, fill out the form below.

Children's Ministry

"but Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belong the kingdom of heaven.'" -Matthew 19:14

At RCC, serving with our children's ministry is more than just childcare - it is an opportunity to begin sewing Gospel seeds into the hearts of our little ones and to serve the families that God has gifted us with. Making, maturing, and multiplying disciples at RCC starts in the cribs of our classrooms. Our Children's Ministry begins from birth and goes through 4th grade.

Student Discipleship

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
-Matthew 28:19-20

The mission of our Student Discipleship Ministry is no different from the overall mission of RCC: to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus. Through Student Discipleship, our hope is to come alongside the parents of our students to teach them the truths of the Gospel, help them build community, and as the Lord wills, watch them come to faith. Our Student Discipleship Ministry is 5th-12th grades.

Connect Team

"Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." -1 John 3:18

Here at RCC, our Connect Team exists to show the love of Jesus through intentionality to every person who walks through our doors. We want to be good stewards of the people that God has sent to our church. Why is this so important? If we are to be effective at making, maturing, and multiplying disciples, we must be intentional in all that we do - from the parking lot of our building to the dinner table in our homes. We make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus through the good news message of the gospel, and hospitality is a doorway to that good news message. At RCC, that hospitality doorway begins with the Connect Team. A friendly smile, a warm hug, or a cup of coffee are not small things but are messages that show others they are cared for, that our church is a place where they can belong, and ultimately points them to Jesus.

Worship Team

"Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised..." - Psalm 96:1-4

Our worship team leads us, week after week, to reorient our hearts to the posture in which they belong: bent in praise to our God and King, the only one worthy of our worship. They work together diligently to lead us in Spirit and truth through song, confession, and the reading of God's Word.

Sound/Tech

"For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen." -Romans 11:36

Our sound and tech teams come alongside our worship team each week to help our service run smoothly. They operate the sound board, record the service, and run ProPresenter through lyrics and sermon notes. Each role on our sound and tech teams is vital as we seek to lead our congregation in Spirit and truth each week.

Missional Community

"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." -Acts 2:46-47

A Missonal Community is a family of servant missionaries sent to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus. We meet weekly across the Shoals to fellowship with one another, study the Scriptures, and be intentional about sharing the gospel with those in our communities. We are always looking for those who are committed to serve as Missional Community hosts and leaders.
